The Girl I Loved Chose My Brother… But Fate Brought Her Back to Me

That night at her apartment, Jules told me she had cut Eli off completely. No more contact, not even through friends. She chose wrong, and she didn’t want to make that mistake again.

We talked for hours — really talked, like we used to. By the time I left, it was almost morning. I told her I didn’t know where we stood yet, but I was willing to find out.

The next few weeks were slow and careful. We hung out, went to movies, took walks. There was a new possibility between us.

I met Eli at a bar for closure. He admitted he had been jealous and wanted to “win” for once. He knew he’d made a huge mistake.

A month later, during a movie night, Jules gave me a keychain with a sunflower charm. I kissed her — a real kiss. That night we finally admitted everything we’d been scared to say for years.

The next morning, I found the full letter she had written the day before I showed up with the flowers — the one where she confessed she had been in love with me since we were 16. Eli had intercepted everything.

We wasted so much time. But we weren’t going to waste any more.

That was 6 months ago.

Jules and I are officially together now, and it’s better than I ever imagined. We’re moving in together next weekend. Eli and I are slowly rebuilding our brotherhood.

Last week, for our 6-month anniversary, she gave me a key to her apartment on a sunflower chain and asked me to move in.

Life is good. Really good.

Sometimes the longest roads lead exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Jules is calling me from the other room. She wants help picking a movie.

Some things never change — and I wouldn’t want them to. ❤️
